About

The Center of Competence for Sustainable Finance is one of the biggest university centers dedicated to the research in sustainable finance bringing together approximately 20 researchers from the departments of banking, finance, informatics, geography mathematics, law, psychology, philosophy, and political sciences. The researchers associated with the CCSF collaborate to establish joint research projects and academic collaborations. Its Advisory Board consists of eight highly distinguished scientists and practitioners and is chaired by Joseph Stiglitz from Columbia University. Two of its board members are connected to the University of Geneva with which the University of Zurich has a strategic partnership.

The Center of Competence for Sustainable Finance was launched in January 2020 and is dedicated to the following activities:

  • The creation of scientific knowledge
  • The strengthening scientific interdisciplinarity
  • The development of education opportunities for students as well as professionals
