The Center of Competence for Sustainable Finance is part of the University of Zurich’s offers to educate the next generation of finance professionals, investors, and scholars through a broad range of graduate and post-graduate study programs.

The CCSF supported the design and development of the Minor in Sustainable Finance for master's students launched in the fall semester 2021. CCSF faculty and staff teach in the program, which provides students with a unique interdisciplinary foundation, finance-related theories and method s, and quantitative empirical skills that are needed in order to bring innovative knowledge to companies, investors, and policymakers.

The program thus addresses the needs of future professionals and researchers in banking and finance, enabling them to act as thought leaders integrating sustainability into the financial markets.

CCSF also co-hosts the Master (MAS), Diploma (DAS) and Certificate (CAS) of Advanced Studies in Sustainable Finance. These executive education programs give professionals the theoretical and practical tools to advance sustainability in their work in finance. The modular structure of the CAS, DAS and MAS allows easy transfer of credits to those who wish to upgrade. The programs are intertwined with the MAS in Finance, greatly expanding the range of UZH’s executive education courses on offer regarding sustainability in finance.
